MagSafe Charging

  • Charging using the MagSafe Charger is quicker than charging with a Qi-based charger, which has a maximum power output of 7.5W, but for the quickest charging, you'll need to use a wired charging connection with a Lightning to USB-C cable.

  • It takes around an hour to recharge an iPhone 12 from zero to 50 percent using the MagSafe Charger, which is twice time it takes to charge by using USB-C to Lightning adapter and a 20W+ USB-C charger adapter.

    Important!

    • Apple warns that while using the MagSafe Charger, it may leave a mark on the Leather Cases designed for MagSafe iPhones. It can also harm silicone cases.
    • Credit cards, security badges, passports, or key fobs should not be placed between the iPhone and the MagSafe Charger because magnetic strips and RFID chips might be destroyed.
